The Slippery Hill Boys - Hoedown party, Wedding party, Barn Dance - Staffordshire & Cheshire.
"An eclectic mix of foot-stomping bluegrass and laid back blues."
The Slippery Hill Boys are the perfect band for any hoedown, hog roast, Wild West party or wedding barn dance. From cool laid back blues to blisteringly
fast bluegrass classics this band is a must for all lovers of Americana.
These good ole boys will take you on a journey to the southern states
of America with musical purity and enthusiasm that is so sadly lacking
from much of today's music.
Need to dance at your party or hoedown? No problem, the band's barn dance caller
will make sure you don't put a foot wrong.
Though the band may think they're in Kentucky, The Slippery Hill Boys are
based in North Staffordshire, England.

Barn Dances for Weddings and Parties
Why not book us for your Wild West Birthday Party or have a themed Wedding Reception?.
Everyone loves a hoedown so bring in the straw bales, deck the tables with gingham and put on your jeans and cowboy hat and prepare for a rootin', tootin' good time!
Our expert barn dance caller will make sure that even the most hopeless novice will enjoy the party dancing as much as the expert.
Our barn dances are ideal for weddings, parties, birthday celebrations, hog roasts etc etc. They are also excellent for raising money for charity and worthy causes.
The Slippery Hill Boys Bluegrass, Blues and Barn Dance band are based in Stoke on Trent and Newcastle under Lyme in North Staffordshire but we usually cover areas within 1.5 hours of our base. This can include Cheshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Lancashire and the West Midlands. But if you are outside these areas give the boys a call anyway, they don't like to miss out on a good party!
Music
The Slippery Hill Boys mix of Bluegrass, Blues and Old Timey music is based on American folk traditions. Strictly speaking we're not a Country or country music band but there are definite similarities. Anyway, have a listen at some of our recordings and if you like what you hear, give us a call
